Great app but all its missing is a PS4 setup, apart from that it connected my PS3 remote very quickly lets just hope for a update soon. Highly recommend worth the price.

my PS4 controller only works when it’s connected to my computers usb slot. I know it’s connected correctly and works fine, but the app doesn’t seem to read it. Once that problem is fixed I’d give it 5 stars, does what it needs to do otherwise with great custom mapping.

It works great for me but it took a bit of time to set up the gamepad. It would be even better if you could push the buttons and it would recognize it instead of having to use a dropdown menu for each button.

Does not work for wireless dualshock 4 controllers…. as thats all I have I definitely should not have bought this.

Simply the best Joystick Mapper ever created. From Playing my old SNES games with friends to Path Of Exile, This Joystick Mappers is all I ever dreamt of. I wish to tell the creator that he did a fantastic Job with this app. I sincerly thank you VERY much for it. It is PERFECT :-))))

Perfect for mapping keys. I use this app to map the keys on my 360 controller** As well as my Logitech X3D Joystick which does not have an official mac driver so this app was a life saver. Easy to setup multiple profiles for different games / controllers. User Interface is pretty straight forward. All in all a solid app and well worth the cost. **as stated in the description some controllers (like xbox 360) will need a valid driver before they can interface with this app.

this app is completely worth the money. I have several games on my mac, and having the option to play with your game counsole controllers is just amazing! the only thing making me give this app a 4/5 is not being able to use your ps3, xbox 360, etc. controllers wirelessly.

This app is perfect if you’re trying to use your ps3 controller for games. Im sure it works well with xbox as well, but I dont have one so I cant comment. It takes absolutely no time to set up as the app has many presets that you can load and use right away. It literally took me less than 5 minutes before I was playing COD4. Best $5 Ive spent on the store.

Works great for my DS4 Controller but one thing I found annoying is that it lack a GUI that can show me how my controller’s button corresponds to “button 1”,”Axis 1” etc. I have to test all the time to know what it means by “Axis 1”. If you can add this feature it would be truly great

I would deffently Reccomend this app to everyone, this still works Awesome on os x yosemite…. works perfectly with my xbox 360 controller :)

The mapping only allows mouse and keyboard functions from what I understand, I imagine using the controller as a tool in a DAW such as Ableton or Logic, and assigning commands to OSC, opening the gyroscopic functions to allow you to pick up the controller and write automatiion by flailing around your hand … that would be very satisfying. The list of included presets are decent and help you get the ball rolling but the “joystick Show” addon should have been included in this app, it’s super lame that it is not and that you have to pay an extra buck for it … stupid cash grab.

This app is great for playing any game or even just controlling your mac. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesnt like keyboard gaming.

Most inputs work smoothly minimal glitching or twitch. HOWEVER: does not handle left and right trigger buttons (L2 & R2) for PS4 controller well. No noticeable input lag. Works with Steam games, and OSX El Capitain!

Works great and lets me play any game (including Farm Simulator 15) with my PS4 Gamepad! LOVE IT !!! (Its a little hard to figure out how to set up, so search Youtube for “Joystick Mapper: Use any Gamepad on your Mac!” for instructions) (installed on OS X El Capitan 10.11.3)

I am using PS4 controller. While I used a cable to connect the controller and MacBook pro, I did not have any problems. But when I used this app and wireless function, I could not play the game. When I pressed R2 or L2 button of the controller, though I had released the button, this app just continued hitting the button as if I was still pressing it. Though I changed settings several times, it did not work, Please fix this bug as soon as possible.

I set up my PS4 controller for playing Minecraft on Macbook Air, and it works well except for L2 button, I am suffering from the same symptoms as the other reviewerws informed. Athough I released L2 button, it keeps placing blocks. No matter it is connected to Mac by bluetooth or wired. Hope the developper checks the issue and address it as soon as possible. It would be very helpful to know if other setting could address the issue. I also configured PS3 controller for Minecraft, it works perfect! Everything works fine for a few minutes until the right click map begins to heavily bug out and stops working altogether. This is extremely frustrating since it is in fact a paid app.
